The Lofoten fishery forms the basis of all activity in Lofoten, all the dreams and all the inventiveness.
Every winter vast amounts of Norwegian Arctic cod (skrei) make their way down from the Barents Sea to Lofoten to spawn. This has formed the basis of existence for the local people for at least five thousand years. When visiting Lofoten, going out to sea to try your luck at fishing is practically a must.
There is room for 12 passengers on our fishing boats. Prior to departure passengers will be given a thermal suit and life vest for the duration of the trip, but we still recommend that you wear good, warm clothing. There is a very good chance that you will catch some fish.
Afterwards, we will fillet your catch together out at sea, and then prepare and serve it on board, either in the form of fish soup or perhaps as fish cakes.
